Large vintage Murano glass table lamp by the master glassblower and designer Alfredo Barbini (1912-2007), 1970s.
The refinement of the glass material combined with the aesthetics revealed by the myriad of small bubbles and the muted colours in shades of grey on the base of the lamp give it a truly harmonious balance. The shade of grey is obtained from new reactions on the glass (Scavo) and reflects the technical virtuosity of the master glassblower. It is enhanced by the play of light inside the shade. Alfredo Barbini has created an object of pure beauty.
